I love Malta. This wonderful nation appears in almost all of my novels. Elspeth is reacquainted with her friend Richard Munro there, and their developing relationship continues throughout my books. In A Secret in Singapore, due out this coming winter, the story opens in Malta, and later Elspeth visits Richard there in her search for the murderer of her fiancé at Cambridge thirty-five years earlier. And, of course, Elspeth’s beloved Aunt Magdelena lives in Gozo. You will find out much more about her in book five, A Gamble in Gozo.

The Kirkus Review was right when it said of A Murder in Malta: Each main character has a rich backstory with enough skeletons in closets to provide grist for a number of future novels.
