This week I am in Ireland confirming research for a book tentatively tilted A Danger in Dublin. I am just about to embark on a walk on the Cooley Peninsula, where one of the final scenes of Draft 1 takes place. Then on to Dublin. I love trips that involve research for my books because they make one focus.

In A Danger in Dublin, I have explored Lord Kennington’s past life. As I continue on in the Elspeth Duff series, I constantly go back to my first book to get characters. It’s interesting that the Kirkus Review for that book picked up the fact that the main characters have rich backstories, enough for many books to come. A Danger certainly is one of them.
